BCIT Recognizes Cornelia Oberlander - World Renowned Landscape Architect

Recently, the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) presented an Honorary Doctor of Technology degree to world-renowned landscape architect, Dr. Cornelia Hahn Oberlander.
This award is presented to individuals who are widely acknowledged for outstanding service to their community and sustained achievement in their areas of expertise. Based in Vancouver, BC, Cornelia has made an outstanding contribution to ecological design practices and the development of the green roof industry. For over 60 years, she has created innovative and sustainable landscapes across North America including the Robson Square and Law Courts Complex and the Vancouver Public Library. Cornelia has earned degrees from Smith College in Massachusetts and prestigious Harvard University. In December 2010, she received the first ever Lifetime Achievement Award at the 8th Annual Green Roof and Wall Conference and Trade Show.
